Blake Lively just revealed the product that ‘quadruples’ the size of her hair

From starring in the hit show Gossip Girl to creating the fizzy drink brand Betty Buzz, Blake Lively is known for a lot of things. But arguably, one of the things she’s best known for is her voluminous blonde hair.

Whether she’s playing Serena van der Woodsen on TV or hitting a red carpet, Lively’s long locks usually billow behind her and make us want to book a salon appointment immediately. So it’s no surprise that the 37-year-old actress has a hair care line of her own, Blake Brown, that offers everything from masks and mousses to shampoos and conditioners. However, Lively recently credited a particular tool for her hair’s mega-volume: BabylissPRO’s Nano Hot Rollers.

Last month on Instagram, Lively wrote, “I’m an old school devotee to hot rollers and mousse like my mama,” and she shared “a peek into how I usually style my hair when I’m going out and all the products I use and how.” And if that wasn’t enough, in a recent interview with Elle, when asked about her best hair day, Lively said, “If I am doing my own hair, then it’s when I use hot rollers. It’s so plumping and it quadruples [the size of] my hair.”

In the social media post, Lively listed all of the items she used, including her Blake Brown favorites and go-to makeup products, and shared tips on how to use these styling tools best.

After prepping and blow-drying her hair, Lively put her whole head of hair up with the BabylissPRO hot rollers, hairspraying each section before rolling it up. She rolled most of her hair away from her face for “maximum volume” and then resprayed her hair when she had all of the hot curlers set. From there, she suggested to “make sure hot rollers are fully cool before removing (the longer you leave them in, the better).” After unrolling each section of hair, she hairsprayed her curls again before brushing them out.

The final result is a bouncy head of waves with plenty of volume at the crown of her hair — in short, movie star-worthy tresses.

If you’re new to hot rollers, they are essentially curlers that heat up in their case before you use them (so yes, they take some practice to use properly and safely). While they aren’t usually as hot as a regular curling iron, they do get very warm and then start to cool down once you remove them from the case. Luckily, this set from Babyliss comes with little clips to keep each roller in place, instead of the traditional metal pins, which are a bit trickier to use.

Plus, this set comes with various sizes of rollers, which help to add dimension to your hair and make your look more natural since all the curls won’t be 100% uniform. This set comes with six small rollers, eight medium rollers, eight large rollers and eight jumbo rollers.

And Lively isn’t the only fan of these hot rollers. In fact, they’ve racked up more than 1,000 five-star ratings on Amazon.

One happy customer shared. “These rollers don’t just curl your hair; they curl your entire existence into fabulousness. My limp, lifeless locks transformed into red-carpet-worthy waves in under 20 minutes. The heat is perfection — hot enough to get the job done but gentle enough not to fry your strands.”

Another fan claimed that these styling tools gave them a “fantastic result, [and they’re] easier than a curling iron and take less than 30 mins in total for heating up, putting in and taking out!”

“These hot rollers heat up quickly and they set my hair effortlessly! … These curls will stay all day, even in damp weather. They do not burn your hair ends and your curls are soft. I have tried 5 different hot rollers over the last two weeks — these are by far the best,” exclaimed a final shopper.

While there weren’t many complaints, some reviewers did note that the rollers do take a bit of time to get nice and hot: “These are great rollers, love how many there are. Just remember it takes at least 30 min to get really hot,” wrote one user.

Another shopper noted that there is a bit of a learning curve with these curlers: “I can’t clamp the rollers on tight enough. I will keep trying, but the product is a quality item. There is nothing wrong with the rollers and it is worth the money. I just have to keep at it.”
